We’ve put together a list of our top holiday picks across Perth Metro and the South West, with something for everyone—whether it’s Christmas carols, fun fairs, outdoor cinemas, or more.

Carols in the City

Saturday, 21 December, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, Supreme Court Gardens

Enjoy a free, family-friendly Christmas celebration with carols, a fireworks display, pre-show entertainment, and a Santa Land for kids. The event is fully accessible, and assistance is available for those who need it.


Signing Santa and Friends

Saturday, 21 December, 6pm – 9pm, Forrest Place

Join Signing Santa and his friends for Christmas stories in Auslan. This fun, inclusive event is perfect for families who communicate in Auslan and those who are learning.


Christmas Nativity Concert

22 & 23 December, 6pm – 8pm, Forrest Place

Sing along to Christmas carols and enjoy a live nativity performance. This event is accessible to all, with seating options and support for those with mobility needs.


Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail

On now until 1 January, 6pm until late, Elizabeth Quay

Explore over 20 spectacular light displays, including the immersive Corroboree in Light and the towering Castle of Light. The trail is accessible for wheelchairs and prams, with assistance available if needed.


Elizabeth Quay Fun Fair

On now until 9 January, Elizabeth Quay

Experience carnival rides, food stalls, and a festive atmosphere. The fair is wheelchair accessible, and there are dedicated areas for families with young children.


Telethon Community Cinemas

Enjoy accessible movie screenings at locations across Perth. For more details, visit Community Cinemas.

Summer Lovin’ Events

Various dates up until 31 January, Bunbury

Experience a variety of summer events, from Christmas light displays to art exhibitions and film festivals, with plenty of options for people with disabilities.

 

Twilight Christmas Margaret River Farmers’ Markets

23 December, 3.30pm – 7pm, Margaret River

Enjoy live music, kids’ activities, and local produce at the Margaret River Farmers’ Market. The event is fully accessible, and staff are available to assist where needed.


Festival of Busselton

Various dates up until the end of January, Busselton 

Packed with summer fun for all ages, this festival features live music, fireworks, outdoor cinemas, and a sandcastle competition. The Main Event includes a local Battle of the Bands, a drone show, and activities for families, seniors, and pet lovers. Everything is designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone.
